Risk disclosure
1. Core message
Cryptocurrency and other markets can involve substantial risk of loss. You can lose money — including all capital you choose to deploy if you ever trade live. Rook is software for paper / simulated operations and governance by default. Nothing we publish guarantees profits, edge, or future performance.
2. Not investment advice; not a signal service
- We do not tell you what to buy or sell.
- We do not provide personalised investment recommendations.
- Skip logs, “Correct Silence”, Learning Core status, and Truth Certificate™ materials explain machinery and process — they are not tips.
- SILENCESTORM™ / Refusal Intelligence™ (roadmap) is advisory attention tooling — not capital instructions.
3. Paper vs live
- Paper / live-paper: Default for marketing, onboarding narrative, and current public story. Results are simulated or exchange-paper and may not match live fills, fees, slippage, or outages.
- Live trading: Not enabled as the default product path. If ever offered, it would be opt-in, bring-your-own keys, separate written agreement, and still at your risk.
- Past paper performance ≠ future results — paper or live.
4. You keep authority and keys
You configure engines, retain API keys on your host, and remain responsible for exchange accounts, permissions, IP restrictions, and security. We do not custody funds. Withdrawal-capable keys are never required for Rook’s intended paper path.
5. Software, process, and “honest FAIL”
Software can contain bugs. Calibrations can conclude that a change should be reverted. Learning Core / harness work may return no edge or an honest kill — that is a designed outcome, not a refund event. Public metrics may lag, be incomplete, or be sanitised for marketing.
6. Market and operational risks (non-exhaustive)
- Price volatility, gaps, liquidity, and exchange incidents
- Fees, funding, and spreads consuming edge
- Internet, VPS, or power failure on your runner
- Misconfiguration of
instance.envor permissions - Regulatory change affecting crypto or software tools in your jurisdiction
7. No FCA authorisation claim
Rook / TTC Trading marketing describes self-directed software. We do not claim to be authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to manage investments or provide regulated advice. You are responsible for understanding the rules that apply to you.
8. Weekly desk note
Emails are process updates and education about how we build. They are not trade alerts. Do not interpret any sentence as an instruction to open or close a position.
9. If you disagree
Do not use the software, do not subscribe, and do not deploy capital based on our marketing.
